yeah will see what calculon does when out of gpu tasks will see if it will give more...if not he will return to F@H & Bunker Rosetta.

Yeah, I will probably take my 1080 off folding and move it to city run if I can fine some more ram about. 

 

Only running 8gb in single channel as I haven't been able to RMA it due to the lockdown.

They are still getting through

Have you tried editing the preferences on the website instead of locally?

So I'm trying to get started on this and following the Quick Start guide in the first post of the thread, at one point it says to select "OpenZIKA" in the sub-project but that's not an option. The five options I have are: "Africa Rainfall Project", "Microbiome Immunity Project", "Help Stop TB", "FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2" and "Mapping Cancer Markers". Which one should I select?

It does appear the guide is wrong. You need to run Rosetta@home!

Haven't. Will try that after I update boinc manager to newest version.

It's late, I'm tired and going to bed but first I'm putting this puppy back on Number Fields.

Seems that it uses exactly 8 GB per GPU task on my 2080 Super and I have only 16GB which would explain why I couldn't get 2 units to crunch simultaneously...

How do we make sure we don't prematurely release on NumberFields?

 

The Pentathlon Statistics Rules state:

If a project's server is unreachable at the starting time of a discipline or at the beginning of a day of Javelin Throw, only credits granted after the first successful statistics update will be counted. Likewise, the last successful statistics update will be the final result, if the server is unreachable at the ending time of the discipline or the end of the day, respectively.

So if the NumberFields server is unreachable at the start of the Javelin throw and you release a bunker at the start it might not count.

 

I think I'll just start another instance of NumberFields for the start of the event and wait for the first hour to complete then if I'm seeing points being updated release starting then.
