Excuse me. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but...

I'm assuming the prices listed are in Euros, and if I convert that to USD, System 1 (€78,500) is asking for $86,220 and System 2 (€84,900) is asking for $93,249?

  • Erm... Too rich for my blood, I wouldn't buy either of 'em.
  • Or are the commas meant to be periods, such that System 1 is €785.00 ($862.20) and System 2 is €849.00 ($932.50)?

Looking at the specs, I still wouldn't go with either of those choices for a long-term PC. An A320 motherboard is lacking in upgradability and quality-of-life features (only 4 x PCIe 2.0 lanes, 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 2, etc.) and doesn't support overclocking, a single 480 GB SSD isn't enough (for my uses, at least), and I have no idea whether the PSU is reliable or not.

They're supposed to be periods. 785€ = 857$ and 849€ = 923$. And can you recommend me another one, pls?

Maybe, if I can get a better one on a similar budget. I don't know.

The only differences are that the RAM frequency on the first one is 3000MHz and the power supply is a Kolink 850W. And on the second one the RAM frequency is 2666MHz and the power supply is a Kratos 500W 80+ modular gold.

What if I change the motherboard to a MSI B350 Tomahawk? Or to the ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING? Or any one of these: https://www.chip7.pt/102-motherboards?refinementList[status][0]=1&refinementList[features.Fabricante do processador][0]=AMD&priceRanges[price]=80%3A110

Maybe, if I can get a better one on a similar budget. I don't know.

For a budget of around €850, using parts from reputable manufacturers:

For the CPU cooler, use the stock cooler that'll be bundled with the AMD Ryzen 5 3600.

Changes from System 1 and System 2

  • I've upgraded the graphics card from the GTX 1660 Super to the GTX 1660 Ti. You can still stick with the ASUS TUF GTX 1660 Super if you'd like, but it's around the same price as the ZOTAC GTX 1660 Ti in Portugal (from online sellers, at least). There are also cheaper GTX 1660 Supers available, if you'd like to shave a few more bucks off from the total cost.
  • I've added a 1 TB HDD that the default configurations of System 1 and System 2 don't include.
  • Fractal Design's Focus G case is a good case with decent airflow, build quality, and cable management considering its budget price point. There are cheaper cases available if you want to shave a few bucks off from the total cost, but your system may or may not get toasty.
  • The EVGA GD (2019) is rated a Tier B PSU on LukeSavenije's PSU Tier List. It should be a decent enough PSU that won't blow up your system and that should be covered by a reasonable warranty.

🙃 Also, please kindly stop quoting me and please learn to snip quotes, thank you🙃
