Anyone know where I can get one?

I'm looking at buying an evga supernova 1000 p2, but can't seem to find it in stock anywhere for a reasonable price. 

 

 

It's 219$ directly from evga, and b&h photo video is selling for 199.99 but says they have to wait for it to be shipped from the manufacturer, and apparently that takes 5-7 days.  Then I think I'd have to wait 3-5 days shipping after.  So it'd take like an entire month to get it -.-

 

 

Newegg's price is 270$ and it's outta stock there too. soo..  Not quite sure where else to look.

 

 

 

I'm really interested in this model because of the fan switch on the back that leaves the fan off until 45 C internal temperature, and it has a 10 year warranty+ fully modular.

 

 

 

 

Any help would be really appreciated, I know there's some sites that aren't on pcpartpicker, but not quite sure if I missed any.

 

 

So far I checked super biiz, newegg, evga's site, b&h photo video and "techgeekshop" (not quite sure if legit).  Not quite sure where else I can look.

Only issue I've heard of is the fan not coming on at all, and that was fixed a while ago.

I'm just really frustrated that I spent so much silencing my rig with the custom loop, and now my stupid powersupply is insanely loud -.-

I already have an hx1050, the freaking thing sounds like a jet engine.

 

axi series is outta the question as well, it has the exact same fan as the hx1050.

 

the fan is 48-56 ~ dba which is not an option for me, It's really frustrating when my rig can be completely silent except for the slight buzz of the HDD spinning, but once the PSU fan turns on, it's SOO loud.

 

 

Here's a thing from techpowerup on the rm 850, obviously it won't ever be 41-46 c ambient, so I suppose ~25-35 dba is ok. Although I'm fairly sure my rig is only ~20-30 dba (I have no way to test this though unfortunately)

 

The main thing I'm concerned about, is if I get a rm 1000, under gaming loads I'll be seeing ~800 watt loads, I really hope at 80% load the fan isn't louder than ~30-35 dba. 

(both gpu's are at 1.3v 1320 mhz and 7600 mhz mem clocks, and the cpu ranges from 4.5-4.8 depending on if I'm bored or not)

I suppose I could get the rm1000, I really wish I could find a video online that actually shows load noises of each power supply.. Maybe there's one somewhere, I just dunno where to look. Google wasn't much help lol

I honestly probably will end up buying the rm1000. I really wish this p2 from evga was in stock and didn't take 2 months to get it -.-

The EVGA Supernova 1000w P2 is a better build PSU than the RM1000, in which also has a 10 year warranty. Even if you have to wait, I would get it over the RM definitely.

Glad to help. I actually like the cheapo 120mm fan that came with my case. It's near silent, and moves a ton more air than my Silenx Effizio.

Well, it is better than the plan of disassembling your newly bought PSU, as you would be shit out of luck as when something fails due to a partially bad batch of components internally or a poorly solder joint that got slipped by QC when you no longer have a warranty. Unless you are capable of fixing a power supply in the future, I would advise you to wait or stick with the rifle bearing fan in the RM1000.

 

Considering the hype of the RM series regarding silence, I doubt you are going to complain about the noise level of the RM1000 either way. You could always contact B&H regarding the inventory of the 1000P2, btw. They may have a more accurate date of when you can expect it, than the estimated shipping date on their site.

Yeah you have a point, I found an evga 1000 p2 from b&h that says ~2 weeks to receive it.  That's a bit better. I'll just order it and forget about it til it shows up lol.
