Originally from Gran Turismo 2 (Intro) which is when I first heard this song and its been on every phone I've owned since (that could play audio formats)

Is this just music made for the game like its own soundtrack, theme music, battle music, etc or can you include songs that were licensed to be used in the game like in radio stations? If the latter then pretty much all of GTA VC and THPS2 radio.

The last of us menu theme and the last of us OST is amazing in and of itself

GTA 5, along with the radio has some pretty damn good OST songs that absolutely bop. 

(They're 2 different songs, I promise.)

The old Mechwarrior games always had good music. MW2 and MW2:Mercs comes to mind.

I may sound like an old fart, but old RPGs tried so much harder with sound effects and music. I mean just compare Morrowind and Skyrim. Morrowind is just more immersive thanks to the various sound effects. Anyways, here's the soundtrack of my favorite game:
