2070 Super low core clock speed

Buksi
Go to solution Solved by Buksi,

Problem solved! Downloaded the latest driver from guru3d, used DDU then reinstalled the driver from guru3d and now it's working at 1935mhz! I had the same driver installed but on GPU-Z it said I had a DCH version (don't ask me what it means). Now that DCH is gone and it's working as intended! Super happy, although it came with a pretty loud coil whine which I'm not sure if it's harmful in any way but yea, I don't hear it if I'm gaming so yea...

Hey!

I built this new PC 2 days ago. Today I installed a game for the first time on it (CoD: MW) and also installed MSI Afterburner with Rivatuner Statistics to see the cpu and gpu temp and speed values in game. My 2070 Super is running at 1605 MHz but I thought it should be able to do ~1815 or so? I'm on a fullHD 144hz monitor, vsync is off. Any idea?

edit: Solved! See my comment below!

Run the game with GPU-Z on the sensors tab and see what "PerfCap" reason is reporting.

Says Idle as seen here: https://imgur.com/a/ZWZd63y

edit: i just wanted to let you know I am a total noob when it comes to these kinda stuff so I'm not really sure what this all means.

Load it with a game or benchmark, then screenshot.

I don't know if it's the cause, especially since the GPU doesn't look like it's boosting, but I ran Shadow of the Tomb Raider with RTX on, since I know CoD:MW does have RTX, and got this result.

What do you mean? Sorry i'm a noob at hardwares and stuff. This card is supposed to boost up to 1815 but I've seen 1900+ on youtube.

In what games are your problems acouring ?

Because even with a cpu that strong cpu bottlenecks still exist in high fps games like rocket league league of legends or similar. So say your cpu can put out 250-300fps in those but the gpu could do even more then it runs at lower usage. Wich is not bad it's perfectly normal for such games.
