Will a Nintendo Switch work with non-Nintendo Micro SD cards?

GamerBlake

I’ve noticed the Nintendo branded Micro SD cards are a lot more expensive than non-Nintendo branded Micro SD cards or equivalent capacities but I’ve also read about people who use unauthorized products and their Nintendo Switch locks up and becomes unusable.

Does anyone know if a Switch will accept non Nintendo SD cards? ?

It's a dumb marketing gimmick about as legitimate as blinker fluid.

Just need an SDXC card

Oh alright thanks,

I just wanted to check so I didn’t use an unauthorized product and have my Switch lock up and become a brick.

Although now I feel a bit stupid for paying $25 for a Nintendo brand 128GB SDXC :/

Well I mean it is when you consider Newegg has Shellshocker sales on SDXC cards all the time for a lot less. ??‍♂️

Sorry you are right, if you want to buy trash it is cheaper. I wouldnt buy that card with the low reviews it has.

It was just an example since that’s what’s on Shell Shocker sale right now.

Other times they often have higher rates 4+ egg rates SDXC cards at a low price too.

Im just wondering if I made a mistake buying the Nintendo one?

Ah ok, well as long as it doesn’t cause my Switch to become a brick.

Do you know if the Nintendo SDXC cards are high quality, high performance? Or are they the same as other SDXC cards but just with Nintendo branding?

Still a bargain compared to what Verizon is shameless asking from customers.
