Wierd looking trace when moving camera fast on games

IndioBravo

Hi everyone,

I noticed now that with my new GPU I can clearly see a weird looking trace when ever I move my camera fast in a game. This happens almost in all games (GTAV, SW Faller Order, RDR2). I attach a video of the problem in which you can see it mostly on the hair.

Is this normal? Surely looks auful.

Looks like some sort of motion blur to me, maybe ingame or on driver level

Probably in-game, as there isn't one in the driver and almost every game enables it by default.

It is disabled in all my games. But for some reason that trace is there.

Is that an external recording? like phone camera on your display?

if so, make sure you don't have something like ASUS tracefree on stupid maximum or something

Yes, it is my phone camera. But it does recreate pretty well what I see with my eyes on the display.

Never heard about Vivipixel. Is that a setting on the monitor menu?

Some displays have settings on them that enable this type of effect. ASUS is called tracefree, not vividpixel. my mistake.

Look for tracefree or some such type of setting.

Found it! I had it on 60. I reduced it to 40 to see the difference. Thanks!

I tried setting the trace free on all positions, disabled motion blur, restarded games, and the trace is still there. :o
