Ryzen 1600 or 2600?

So I wanna make some upgrade from my old i5 4460 to something newer(in budget), so decided to go amd. So I was browsing local internet shops and found I can get ryzen 5 2600 for 127 euros, but then I found 1600 for 92 euros, so my question is what is better for me, I'm casual gamer, mostly cs go, some older games, sometimes buy some new ones(but they probably would work on both good), my monitor is 1080p. I'm Not streaming/editing on pc. Will keep my rx 460 4gb video card. So is there any big difference between them for mostly casual usage(will buy cheapest  I can get but branded am4 mb(a320) so not interested in oc,and 16gb ddr4 ram), and how about life span(years I won't need to consider upgrade, I know 2600 is newer but only 1 year).

Tnx for help :)

if you keep ur 460 then go with the 1600, but know that it might hold u back about 15% over the 2600 if u decide to upgrade your gpu in the future.

I don't know how relevant this is, probably not so much since there have been a lot of bios-updates since, but first gen ryzen had some issues with compatibility if i'm not mistaken. so the 2600 would just be more convenient along with better performance. definetly worth the extra couple bucks.

The newest batch of the 1600 marked as AF are Zen+ parts, closer to the 2600 than the old 1600.

Go with that. But don't go with an A320 board, get at least a B450.

description of the webshop. And AF comes with wraith stealth, as opposed to wraith spire cooler of 1600. (The spire is kind of useable, the stealth is rather garbage, recommended not to use it).

Forget the R4.0 .. garbage.

cheapest: Asrock B450M HDV (without R4.0) Gigabyte B450M S2H

okay-ish: Gigabyte b450m DS3H, Asrock B450M Pro4

these are the cheapest AM4 boards recommendable.. with a grain of salt.

I don' like Tomahawk: that thing is roughly the same, as B450 A-Pro MAX or B450 Gaming PLus MAX, but massively more expensive. Okay, Toma has a better VRM HEATSINK, but it has zero advantage with a six-eight core CPU.. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d9_E3h8bLp-TXr-0zTJFqqVxdCR9daIVNyMatydkpFA/edit#gid=611478281

the R4.0 is severely compromised, without VRM heatsink. Fine for a 2core CPU, but, I would not put anything more demanding than an Athlon APU into it.

The B450M HDV is pretty good for it's price.. where are you located btw? Any links to webshops you would like to purchase from?
