Is RTX 2080 worth the extra Work ?

ichihgo

I'm saving for a new gaming computer as my 5 years old PC with the defaulted GPU can now longer play games :')

I was planning to buy a RTX 2080 with AMD RYZEN 3700X but after watching some benchmarks I've been wondering if it is worth it as I can just buy RTX 2070 and save about 310$ maybe even then I won't need 3700X and can save even more.

So is the RTX 2080 worth that I delay my purchase for a month to save money for it or just go with the RTX 2070 ?

What are you using the pc for?

Games at what resolution/refresh rate?

Gaming, I'm okay with 1080 won't say no to 1440p but I think I had enough with 60 Hz so it's 144 Hz monitor

Well if you want to do 144hz 1440 I would get a 2080 super for sure.

If you wanted to do 1080 144 a 5700 XT or 2070 Super would be good.

For processor- a 3700x won't benefit you at all really. 3600 will do absolutely fine.
