Rtx 2060 or Rx 5700 xt?

Swift Panda

I can't decide which card to get i've found the Rtx 2060 for £282 and Rx 5700 xt for £314 and i really need help deciding on which card to get as it will stay for me for at least 4 years minimum.

If anyone has any help, suggestions or places i can find cheaper cards it would be very appreciated (I'm on a very tight budget)

Thanks!

The RX 5700XT is much better than the 2060. 5700XT vs. 2060 Super is a more fair comparison to make. Even then the 5700XT beats the 2060S though..

5700XT is much faster (it competes with the 2070 Super). 2060 has RTX (can probably do it decently, but it's not the most powerful), 2GB less VRAM, and NVENC (very nice). Unless you absolutely must have RTX/NVENC, the 5700XT is the much better card. Especially at only 32 GBP difference. Although, which model is that 5700XT? The reference blower design is pretty bad, mostly because it lets the VRAM get to not very safe temps from what I've seen. Core hits the 90s as well (even the Vegas which got a lot of flack for their blowers only hit 85C, which was still safe), IIRC up to 93C or so.
