minecraft gettingt lag spikes on a good pc

i just upgraded from a old 3rd gen i5 to a 2700x and yes things have gotten better but minecraft is getting lagspikes and i have 6 gb of ram allocated to the game 

i have a 2700x

10603g latest driver

and it gets lag spikes and i don't know why render distance is at 12 vsync is off

When you say lag spikes, do you mean on a server hosted elsewhere or locally when playing offline?

Like on hypixel pit and pretty much any other game on there
