Sleeved Power Supply cables

Bruno_A

Hi all,

I have recently purchased an ASUS X370 Crosshair VI Hero, which came with a 20% discount code for cable mod. I was quite excited and was going to buy a Pro cable kit for my EVGA Power Supply, however, the code no longer works, which is a bummer. The full price is a bit more expensive than I'd like to pay now, at least. With that said, are there cheaper alternatives that roughly match the quality. I'd quite like Nylon sleeving as it's easier to manage than the plastic sleeving. I have plastic sleeving extensions from ShakMods, however, the PSU cables are quite long, on their own. Adding a plastic sleeved extension, which is not easily manageable, makes cable management a pain.

Thanks in advance.

Damn, i should have posted haha! I LOVE my cablemod cables. worth every penny

Yeah, from the manufacturers that I've seen, CableMod seems to make the high quality stuff, however, I wouldn't buy anything other than their Pro kits, as their other non-Pro kits appear to have skinny wires, which don't look as good, in my opinion.

i ended up with a full pro set for the RM1000i and they have great chunky cable sleeves, even came with cable combs!

Yes, the Pro kits are definitely a lot more premium. How manageable are they, though? I assume they're easily bendable, as they are Nylon-sleeved.

they are quite stiff but hold their shape when bent, I found the 24pin hard to work with as i wanted quite a tight bend and it just didnt feel right so i routed it differently. x99.JPG.772a5b76760f52c379c13eafa60d0437.JPGx99(2).JPG.ed4c4e96c7e87d826c34515d8b67efc9.JPG

They certainly do look good. The fact that they're not extensions, must make cable management a lot easier. This is my rig, and I am using plastic sleeved extensions:

Thanks a lot, I was using the code wrong. I had to use the code through a specific link, in order for it to work. I ordered a premed kit to the UK, any idea how long it takes to ship? Thanks a lot.

I got to say i ended up getting mine from OCUK, took 2 days free shipping for long term forum members.

Also just treated myself to a sleeved USB3.0 header so i can run it right out the way without the big stupid plug.

Unfortunately, OCUK did not have the configuration I wanted for my PSU, so, I had to go with the actual CableMod store.
