Sorry guys, but I accidentally deleted everything from Google drive, and the form is gone now.

 

 

Well, I figured since we don't have one, we need one. So, here it is. The unofficial LinusTechTips RAM Overclocking database. Please fill out the form below, and I will try to update the database at least once every week (for verified OCs).

Color ranking explanation:

 

Red: Not accepted (bad information or otherwise, will be explained in the notes column)

Green: Accepted

Gold: First 10 accepted entries

 

The form itself is fairly self explanatory, however I would happy to answer any questions that occur. If I missed something that you feel should be added to the form (hopefully nothing obvious  ), please let me know! I can edit the form and database at any time. I will also be checking the spreadsheet to validate entries. If an entry comes through that doesn't match up to the photo, or if the entry comes without a photo or validation it will be flagged red. This just means not verified, and it WILL stay in the database. However, if you want this flag removed, PM me with your missing photo, validation, etc. and I will update your entry and remove the flag. If you have multiple machines, or RAM to play with, please add them! Let's make this database huge!

Stock ram here, just because I don't know a whole lot about overclocking ram and from what I have learned there isn't a huge benefit from it. However I could be wrong.

What I don't get is why does my computer recognize it as 1333MHz RAM? (I have to manually set it.)

 

EDIT: I just realized that my computer doesn't recognize the correct timings either. It's running 9-11-11 and it should be 9-9-9. I'll have to fix this.

EDIT 3: I glanced back at the CPU-Z screen and it said my DRAM frequency was like 448 gigahertz for a second and then went back..

More bandwidth is a good one, and for APU's it gives them more performance (kinda like 6GHz effective on a 780Ti vs 3GHz on that same card).

Nope, only system with DDR2 and can OC it.

I'll have to do my laptop. It's on stock RAM speed and voltage (Can't change it) but it does have lowered timings.

Yeah, it's on my E6500. I feel like it could run on lower voltage just fine but I haven't been able to find anything that allows me to change the voltage. SetFSB doesn't support the PLL and memset is how I changed the timings.

I changed the BCLK in the BIOS which seemed to work.

I'm not even talking about my netbook. My netbook was newer than yours and SetFSB plus GMABooster don't support it. Besides, it's a little smashed up now. (Broken screen, broken HDD, chips in the back of the screen and base.)

 

I think SetFSB actually has PLLs similar to the one on my laptop but they don't work.
