What was the worst build you have seen yet?

Mr. Budget

This is the BEST version of the verge video..
A Supercut of Reactions while its built.
I know its old,.. but I found this one late to the game. :)
Also, just outright funny.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I personally have experienced a few terrible desktops, but I also want to know you guys' experience.
The worst desktop I have seen is one I have seen literally EVERYWHERE.
GPU: GT 710 (says it all)
CPU: Q6600 (does anyone even use these anymore? even the gt 710 could be bottlenecked by this)
RAM: 2x 1GB ddr sticks (no number????)

Cooler: mans didnt put a cooler on his build. surprised it worked for the short 15 minutes it did.

I think that says it all.

My graphics card is worse:

GT 640! ?

My old NAS looked pretty horrible

Besides living half outside its case, it was also made from WD Greens.....

It also originally ran an Athlon that was missing 2 pins ?

Honestly at this point the only thing that keeps me from thinking its sarcastic and just pointing fun at build guides is the fact they called people who disliked it and hated on it racist.

you are very wrong there. those chips can easily OC to 3.5+ ghz and you can even play relatively modern games like Overwatch, as long as you're ok with framedrops to 40fps or so when a lot happens on the screen.

if you just do web browsing and other general tasks then it will still feel quite fast, and you can get a Q6600 based system for dirt cheap.

pentium 4 @1.8GHZ probably less than 1GB ddr400 ram.

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.

thats overclocking, and alot of people can't overclock highly unlocked chips.

Well if you look away from specs but rather look at build method my own rig is definatley up there. Ssds loose, elastic mounted hdds, zero cablemangement and a diy noctua psu fan swap.

I'll be getting a 3600 the comming week and i dont plan on doing that much improving tbh. I'll also be mouting my 1150 noctua l9i cooler with zip ties to the new am4 board.

Different way of looking at a bad build however still bad.

what are you on about? overclocking back in the day had a lot more gains than it does now, and it's a lot easier. basically set a voltage of some kind, put in the number, save the settings and there you go.
