Yes ASUS crap shoted with bad vrm last couple years now they are as solid as Gigabyte and what not.

What monitor do you have?

Personally, I think the Ryzen 3600x is hard to beat. In games it's really only slightly behind something like the 3900x.

i have a 1440p 144hz and im planing on a 2080 super or ti but super is more likely

thi can go with a 3700x and 500gb 970 evo plus nvme or go with a 9900k and a reg sdd it would come out to the same price the 9900k is 450 right now thats why

Ok, then get the 3600x and pair it with the 2080 Super. There's no reason to get the 2080Ti, it's not worth the almost doubling in price.

I live in US and i9 9900k is like $500 where Ryzen 7 3700x is $330. Ryzen 7 3700x is no way too far behind than i9 9900k in overall performance.

No. The only time the 9900K is faster is when you overclock it and run at 1080p with a 2080 Ti. In your case, the 3600 and 9900K.will be dead even. The 9900K.runs extremely hot and uses a LOT of power. It's not worth it. The 3700X is better in basically every possible way

$40... idk, too much imo for a clock speed "advantage" you wont see comparing to aftermarket cooler on the 3600 because the warith spire v2 is weak among coolers.

I agree with these Guys. If you have no plans to overclock, WHY pay for the K?  You can save a large chunk of money! Put it towards a better video card.  I have seen the 9900 selling on amazon for $400-430 

 

Also.  If you do not do any content creation, honestly. I would go with the 9700.  Same cpu without HT.  you will see identical gaming performance and only pay  $330 for the 9700.

 

And that is only if you must stick with intel. 

 

I would love to see more people open up to AMD.  They deserve it

DEFIANTLY go with the AMD!  You will be very happy with the outcome.  I would do the research on the board VRM's to see which board offers the best VRM.

9700k is faster, but then while the H100i is only just adequate for 9700k OC it's way overkill for the 3700x, considering it only draws 100w on its own while the 9700k can easily do 200w. Also not sure how far the 9700k can pull ahead when most testing are done with the 2080Ti. Let's say 10% advantage in average frame rates and 5% disadvantage in minimums for the 9700k after you overclock it.
