Posted August 27, 2019 Hello everyone, im new to this forum and ive never used one before, im looking for advice or help because im building a Threadripper 2950x system, im interested on using the GIGABYTE X399 AORUS Xtreme (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G7CCG3N/ref=ox_sc_act_title_8?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1#customerReviews) as my motherboard but i would like to know if it will support the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3000 (PC4-24000) C15 1.35V Desktop Memory (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N3GV5BH/ref=crt_ewc_img_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) Does anyone know if that motherboard would support the ram memory? Posted August 27, 2019 On a 1950X and Gigabyte Designare (cousin to the Aurus you are looking at) I can run 64GB of 3600 speed Ram at 3400 speed. It will boot at 3600 but won't pass stress tests. On a 2950X I bet you'd be stable at 3600. the IMC is much better on the 2000 series. So the 3000 speed you want is realistic. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
