Hello everyone, im new to this forum and ive never used one before, im looking for advice or help because im building a Threadripper 2950x system, im interested on using the GIGABYTE X399 AORUS Xtreme (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G7CCG3N/ref=ox_sc_act_title_8?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1#customerReviews) as my motherboard but i would like to know if it will support the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3000 (PC4-24000) C15 1.35V Desktop Memory (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N3GV5BH/ref=crt_ewc_img_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)

Does anyone know if that motherboard would support the ram memory?

Thanks

On a 1950X and Gigabyte Designare (cousin to the Aurus you are looking at) I can run 64GB of 3600 speed Ram at 3400 speed.  It will boot at 3600 but won't pass stress tests.

On a 2950X I bet you'd be stable at 3600.  the IMC is much better on the 2000 series.

So the 3000 speed you want is realistic.
