Honestly I'd go with a 1600 or 2600 as the GPU really doesnt need all that many CPU horses. If you do other work you may wanna get a 1700/2700 instead. Get yourself some 2666-3000MHz mem would be my suggestion.

as what GOTSpectrum said then

also for Zen 2 based processors which u could afford and they can handle high speed ram more than before then get a R5 3600 with a 2x8GB with frequencies higher than 3200mhz and at best 3733mhz

If Ryzen 5 1600 - 2666mhz is the fastest guaranteed to work with the CPU (if Mobo guarantees it as well)

If Ryzen 5 2600 - 2933mhz is the fastest guaranteed to work with the CPU (if Mobo guarantees it as well)

If Ryzen 5 3600 - 3200mhz is the fastest guaranteed to work with the CPU (if Mobo guarantees it as well)

All things aside you can still get higher frequencies to work, post, and not crash but its all a gamble.  My two Zen rigs are running well over 2666mhz and 1 time a night during gaming my 3600mhz crashes my PC, and about every 3 days my 3200mhz rig crashes once - stable enough for me, but 100% stable at the guaranteed specs.

Yes it's a very good pairing and 3200mhz is likely to work since Zen 2 IMC is much improved but the motherboard memory controller also factors in.

B450 Tomahawk is a board you can't go wrong with.

If that's too pricey you can try the B450 Pro4.

Yes you know some implementations are worse than others, also on BIOS level support (sorry for making my reply too simplistic for the sake of convenience).

A fine example is a motherboard I love the Biostar X370 GT7 which can handle a R9 3950X with ease but memory past 3000mhz on it for some reason is still ehhh

MSI B450 boards offer mostly good value for money from their Tomahawk to their Gaming Pro Carbon and have their useful bios flaskback to upgrade the bios to be Ryzen 3000 compatible in case the seller can't update the bios for you. B450 Tomahawk is a solid option and one most people on the budget and investing into Ryzen go for.

The 3000 series Ryzen would probably do better with a little faster memory but you might be able to run that stuff around 3200mhz, and you really should get an SSD at least for your OS drive and main programs.

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

Arctic Fans 140mm x4 120mm x 1

Oh 10 year warranty on PSU is great ok you can get it then.  Also the CPU is pricey because if I had that motherboard in your situation I would get a 2700x 8 core 16 T for 200 dollars.

That's a good cpu, no need to change it. Price is also normal. Not sure what Turtle meant. The board is also fine, it has BIOS flashback so you can update the Bios yourself with ease. Just follow the instructions available.

As for the PSU, the focus platform isn't ideal, a better option would be a Prime Gold or Antec HCG Gold
