ryzen zen 2 supported memory? 128gb or 64gb?

I have seen different information on every site. Does the zen 2 (3xxx) support an entire 128gb of 3200? or am I off?

Thanks!

Check with your motherboard. For example I just looked up some Asus X570 board (X570-E) and it supports up to 128GB:

Technically speaking the Zen 2 IMC does support up to 128GB of memory in Dual Channel, but you gotta pay attention to your motherboard specifications as well.

While some motherboards will indeed support this 128GB limit you might only achieve it with 32GB sticks due to the limitation of only 4 DIMMs.

Also have in mind the more memory you have in the system the harder it is to clock it's frequency high with low timings, you might have to fine tune the settings manually on BIOS instead of just picking the XMP profile it carries.

Thank you both. I will be making sure the x570 boards that I pick will allow the 128, but I wanted to make sure the processors, themselves, would support, as well. Many thanks! I will be definitely going team red this build!
