1050 ti or 980?

I am going to be doing somewhat demanding games at 1080p60 the 1050 ti is $120 american 980 is $105 which one do I buy?

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.

980 is significantly faster than a 1050ti.

How about neither and go with a RX570 which is priced the same, performs almost as good as the GTX 980 on today's games but isn't end of life without any FreeSync support?

Maybe an RX580 but I think a 570 is noticeably worse than a 980.

The GTX 980 is 21% better (and 25% in games) than the RX 570 according to userbenchmark, which is, in my opinion, a more than worthwhile difference. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-980-vs-AMD-RX-570/2576vs3924

 

Like others have said, the GTX 980 is much faster than the 1050 ti, so I would definitely recommend you to go with that one. $105 for a 980 seems like a pretty good deal (must note that I'm not from the US, but here it'd be a great deal). :)

Userbenchmark is trash. The difference is closer to 10%.
