Is it safe to keep power coming to the PSU even if the PC is turned off?

I recommend you avoid unplugging the PC. Modern PSUs are designed to always be plugged in, and there have been several people on this forum that have broken their PSUs by switching them off between every time they use the PC. The power draw should be about 0,05W-0,1W, so that's not really an issue.

So I built a PC under a month ago and ever since I've been flipping the wall switch every time after I shutdown the PC.

I'm starting to feel like this is pointless and that I should just leave the wall switch on instead of having to reach down and flip the switch on, which happens everyday since I'm always on it and shutting it down before i go to bed.

The RGB ROG logo also lights up whenever power is being supplied to the PSU even if the PC is off which is a cool added bonus.

Intel Core i7 8700, MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio, 16gb DDR4 3000MHz C16, be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, WD Black 1 tb NVMe, ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming, Seasonix TX 1000W 80+ Titanium, Fractal Design Define 7 Compact.

dont bother with the switch, just shut it down and leave it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I unplug my power cord from the wall socket each time. Been doing so the last 20 years.

Is there any benefit to turning off the switch at the wall rather than keeping it on (as in power surges etc...will leaving it on allow it to be damaged easier from brownouts...)

It would reduce the wear on the switch itself... But it would still charge and discharge the caps every single time, so not really. Just get a surge protector if surges are an issue.
