2080, i9 9700k adata spectrix d 80 8gb *4 cooling

I am gonna overclock all of these and ram goes up to 5000 mhz! How can I cool this beast guys?

5000mhz ram isn't probably going to make any significant difference over 2133 mhz on any intel cpu. liquid cooled memory is just a gimmick which doesnt make any difference.

so should I buy amd or just buy a regular ram ?

And I still didnt get the answer to cool this I mean there is an i9 and rtx 2080.

2133Mhz to 3000Mhz is actually a pretty big difference, not just on Ryzen. But once you go over 3200Mhz on the RAM, you start to get diminishing returns; so in the end, 5000Mhz RAM is pointless because the gains over normal speeds aren't worth it.

I remember watching a bunch of videos by reputable sources(think hardware unboxed? maybe gn) and they compared 2133, 2400, 2666, 3000 and 3200 on an intel and ryzen cpu, the intel one had less than 1% increase from 2133 to 3200

hmmm, I'll look into it.

Could be dependent on which gen of Intel too
All I know is that my friend said his 9600k got 10 more fps with 3000Mhz over 2133Mhz

Are you wanting to do a custom watercooling loop? If not a cooler like the Dark Rock Pro 4 or a 240mm plus AIO paired with a high airflow case would be more than sufficient for an i7-9700k and 2080 build.

10 more fps in what context? he could've meant 10 more fps in CS:GO, from 450 to 460, or he could've meant something like from 50 to 60

Yea, idk. He doesn't really play CS:GO anymore, so he could be talking Smite (pretty much the only game I see him playing these days), but this is the same guy who that that alternating RAM slots where single channel, so idk how accurate his metric is.

Again, I'd have to actually research this and/or perform my own scientific tests to determine how right or wrong his claims are.

Yea but I am gonna overclock these so it should be more than sufficient I think, so what do you think? Would there be any problems with overclocking?

again, if you haven't bought the ram yet i highly suggest you don't and save some money while you're at it. if you wanna cool a 9700k/9900k's overclock a 240mm/280mm/360mm AIO should be sufficient(or a beefy air cooler like the Noctua NH-D15 or be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4). If you wanna cool GPU without custom loop you can get NZXT's Kraken G12 to mount an AIO onto the GPU.

I don't think it will be an issue, just depends on how much you want to push the overclocks, I built one with a 9700k and 2080ti last week, used a dark rock pro 4 and a fractal design meshify c for the case and both the CPU and GPU overclocked fine, CPU had great temps at a solid 5ghz OC on all cores, and GPU didn't have a problem with it's stock cooler getting a decent OC as well, although it is a EVGA 2080ti FTW3 model so cooling is a bit better than most. I don't think you will have any issues going with a Dark Rock Pro 4 or 240mm or bigger AIO for the CPU.
