Samsung have introduced Celeb Alarm, an integration into the Clock app that will play several celebrity-recorded audio snippets.

This Celeb Alarm is exclusive to Samsung devices as it is integrated into the Samsung Clock app itself.

 

The way to get a Celeb Alarm onto your device is:

1. Set an Alarm in your Clock app
2. Select Alarm Sound
3. Tap Selected Voice
4. Select downloaded alarm

Some K-pop celebrities include:

• Son Nauen of Apink
• Jeong Eunji of Apink
• Eunha of Gfriend
• Kang Daniel of the late Wanna One

It seems neat that these idols would take time out of their schedules to record what could be dozens of these audio clips The audo clips can be listened to on the Celeb Alarm website under the 'Pre-Listen' tab, there you can find your desired celebrity and listen to the recordings, as long as you sign in.

It's unclear (at least to me) as to whether this will be available in the UK in the future, because I got some mixed signals from Samsung Support over on Twitter:

We can hope for the best as to the expansion of availability for outside of the South East Asia regions, as I'm pretty interested in this Celeb Alarm myself.

 

What we know for sure, is that if you live in any of the above South East Asia regions, and own an S10, and have the latest Clock app, you're good to go set yourself a Celeb Alarm!

2. What I want is a way to turn off alarms temporarily, kind of an alarm snooze but where I could make it, say 1 week from now.

Honestly same, the audio snippets inside the website have a mellow gentle music to it so not too sure how I'd get woken up by that. Still curious as it's a different experience than being woken up by literally Earth-shattering sounds!

You can't download these MP3s - The recordings are made specifically for Celeb Alarm by the idols themselves.

As a Korean company, this is more catered towards the South East Asia market, where K-pop is widely adopted in contrast to Western countries where K-pop is alien.

Where these Celeb Alarms differ is that the audio is not a snippet of a K-pop song, but rather the idol themselves talking with a melodic background noise. It's a different kind of alarm experience.
