Pretty similar to my build, just saying, you don't necessarily need a z370, I have a h310  for my i5 8600 and its fine - its not like you're overclocking, everything else seems fine

I was going to stream a bit of my game design work and wanted to use it for some decent gameplay. I'm also buying a lot of these locally.

You don't need to buy a cpu cooler for the i5, it comes with it.

I wouldn't really recommend the i5 8400 anymore unless you've already bought it. In that case, it's fine.

If you're looking to game and stream, I would recommend Ryzen instead.

The 1070 is fine but for $90 more it's worth the extra money for the performance boost.

What's funny about wanting a lesser CPU for Streaming/Design Work/Gaming?  Ryzen is better for that hands down at this budget, but if you want brand loyalty to dictate how you buy that means you want to overpay.

A quality and equivalent AMD AM4 board is typically $20 cheaper than even the discounted price you listed (for a board that can still overclock) and that's not counting sales on AM4 boards which also happen quite often.  Z370 boards are expensive especially when compared with B450/X470 motherboards.

Yes he does, the intel stock cooler is worthless! It is ugly, low performance, just...bad.

i5-8400 is 65W TDP, the intel stock cooler while "ugly" can still cool it fine without OC.  It's as good as it needs to be for stock performance but unless your room is a sauna it gets the job done.

if u say so. I have always seen people say not to use the stock cooler. I just think that with a 20$ the cpu would run at much better temperatures.

I would think that typically you're seeing cases where the CPU is more aggressive than an i5-8400.  Don't get me wrong if it was a 95W TDP CPU or something that  cost a little bit more it makes sense to get that $20-30 CPU Cooler (like a hyper 212 evo).  It's just that when you get something for free, you can always replace it after trying it if the temps are really that out of control.
