What should I get, 2080 or 2080ti?

channingspike

If you are trying to get awesome performance but be smart with your wallet, snag a used 1080ti. If you give no fucks, get a 2080ti. If want to pay a little more for roughly the same performance as a 1080ti but be able to say you got raytracing which pretty much no games support, get a 2080. If your house is cold, get a Vega 64.

It all depends on your budget and model-wise I would match to your aesthetics and how much you want to overclock as some will overclock slightly better than others.

The 2080 is more than capable if you're stretching for cash or you could go for a 1080 ti.

I’m not sure on what I should get, and which model I should get of it.

We can't give you advice unless you tell us what you intend on using the card for, what sort of performance you expect, what the rest of the system is, and what your budget is.

2K for the entire system, or just the GPU?

also, why not go for a RTX card?

In certain areas where Pascal aren’t out of stocks(ie local shops in Asia for example) 1080Tis could be 15-25% cheaper than 2080s

I’m not really sure since my budget is 2k usd.

Forget about the 1080ti.. For 2k, get a DELL FIREPRO S9100 or a PNY Quadro P5000.  No don't do that, seriously. If you have that kind of money to burn, just get a 2080-ti and call it a day.
