Do I need to use 8 pin connector for 2070

you need an 8 pin and a 6 pin. If you have a "cooler master 620W" i get a feeling that should be replaced too, especially if it lacks even a 6+2 pin connector

Hi I have got my 2070 today noticed it has 6 and 8 pin connector but I only have 2 6 pins does it matter and can I run it with the 2 6 pin adapters into my power supply.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

and you really shouldn't use adapters for a card like that.... better safe than sorry.

So it would work for now with the 2 6 pin until ether upgrade power or get a 6 to 8 pin adapter?

Quite funny won’t let you do 6 pin anyway tells you to connect power cables to graphics ordered an adapter.

thats why i said you need an 8 pin. it wont even let you boot the card without it. there is a sense line on one of those extra pins that needs to be hooked up right just so that you CANT put a 6 pin in it

Ok that makes sense really. I’ll wait till get adapter then payday end of month get w new power supply.

Turns out I can switch power supply with stream pc as that has the 6+2 on it but 600 w Corsair
