Click my PSU in my signature for the PSU tier list.

You'll note the Corsair VS line is towards the bottom, because it is crap.

What retailer were you looking to buy from?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Get a Corsair CX450/550 (2017)

See if you can sqeeze in a RX 570 instead of the 1050. Itl cost a bit more but be significantly better

Don't go for VS450 unless you want random reboots while gaming .I personally had a VS550 and replaced it with TX series within 2 months of usage .Go for CX series or higher according to ur budget :)

Definitely not the VS. Go for the CX as people above mentioned or go to the tier list to get something equivalent that you can find in Philippines and fits your budget.

What's clear is that you think efficiency and quality are mutually exclusive... which they are not.

That's right. You re giving extremely false advice here based on efficiency which have nothing to do with the quality of the PSU. It's like you're recommending Turbo-x units with a sticker of Platinum on the side that tend to fail within a year at their best.

Platinum Stickers dont just fall from the sky!

There is a big responsibility behind it and a few years of warranty!

Where is the responsibility?

Next time you buy a psu, don't buy a TX550m  80 plus gold, get a non plus!

And the responsibility is to stick to their numbers

You have literally zero idea what makes PSU good or bad.

The only reason why I got TX550m is because it was on sale (€57). There are many better PSUs with gold efficiency rating.

Yes, they have the responsibility to stick to EFFICIENCY numbers. But EFFICIENCY does not equal QUALITY.

The 80+ rating just means they sent a single PSU to Plug Load Solutions, and that it meant some efficiency targets. It doesn't say anything about the protections, performance or noise.

Bait and switch is also a thing that isn't too uncommon. Noone enforces that the manufacturer sells a good unit based on the 80+ rating.

A PSU doesn't need to have good electrical performance - transient response, voltage and load regulation, ripple, hold up time, doesn't need to last long, and doesn't need to be safe to operate to have high efficiency. There are many Bronze power supply that are higher quality than Gold ones.

Efficiency should only be a concern if electricity bills are a concern.

What people should be looking for is the quality of the power supply, by reading proffesional reviews such as https://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/aris-bitziopoulos/be-quiet-system-power-u9-700w-psu-review/

From what I've seen it's difficult to buy decent PSUs in Philippines at reasonable prices. What's your budget? What store(s) are you buying from (link?)

If you are considering the Corsair VS range of PSUs don't buy the older orange label units. Make sure you grab one of the newer grey label VS units.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

With that budget, I'd rather get a Playstation and use that...

Because you have to make too many sacrifices that the performance of the Playstation (PRO) will be better than the PC and you'll have more fun with that...

You're right but there is no game that comes with Playstation (PRO) and price of one game is around $35 or PhP1895, and its hard to get that kind of amount here in the Philippines.........So no thank you
