9600 cpu time spy

cinebench r15 - 1620pts

cpuz score 4225pts

 

9900k . 3.8 ghz on stress

 

asus prime z390-a

noctua nh-d15

only xmp enabled in uefi, 3000mhz

its normal?

normal scores for that frequency, which is quite a bit lower than what it should do at stock (4.7GHz all core turbo)

That would explain it. What are your core and VRM temperatures? You may also be power limited.

yeah but my mobo is Asus Prime Z390-A , i read is enough to not throttle cpu. 

 

Also temps are very low. Because have Noctora,thats not problem ;)..

 

But in other review sites scores:
Cinebench 2100 ...i have 1650

cpuz score: 5550... i have 4225

And cpuz freq according to cpuz is 3800mhz

 

 

I only activate XMP in UEFI nothing more.

Looks like (not 100%) a 2x4 phase vrm like the rog maximus xi hero,  Don't know how you've setup your bios but if its all stock them good chance it's throttling. Take the case side off and blow a box fan at the components then run the test again, especially if you're using an aio as there'll be stuff all air flow on the socket/vrm 

 

[opinion/]For the price asus is charging these mobo's should not the the shit they're selling for z390, the stupid asus 2x4 seems to just crash trying to maintain 1.3v which is stupid

I don't understand how Asus does a sick VRM on the X470  Crosshair VI/VII and can't manage a good one on the Z390 series. WTF is going on this world?

 I'm only wildly speculating here, but there's a good chance its the design teams, go back 1 socket generation and am3/+ needed decent vrm (lots of phases distributing load/power) that was design spec from amd. The philosophy may of just carried over with asus and there 'high end boards' for amd.

 

Intel boards on the other hand for the last couple of generations have been generally pretty damn good power wise, and needed less beefy power delivery, fast forward a couple of rushed releases and a few really power hungry chips for 370/390 and the design philosophy seems to still be playing catch up. The 8700/9700/9900 are essentially HEDT cpu's crammed onto consumer grade boards, without the power delivery we generally see on hedt boards.  

 

All that said, a lot of 390 mobos do have power delivery, just all the manufacturers have a few duds.

For the clock speed @ 3.8 yesish. Though for a 9900k, no as it should be clockong higher for an all core workload

Raise your power limits in BIOS before jumping to conclusions. If your temperatures are under control, then you're clearly power throttling. It's a shit 4 phase VRM which isn't ideal for a 9900k,  but there is no reason that it shouldn't be able to drive to the stock 4.7Ghz boost.
