USB 3.0 sucks for peripherals?

so sorry if this topic is already been brought up:/ but why do 2.0 peripherals malfunction when plugged into a USB 3.0 port?

 

Mice stutter, jitter, or simply don't work.

 

Keyboards miss key strokes.

 

I have no cue whether its the line of peripherals that i am using? (High End: R.A.T. 7, Lenovo keyboard) (Low End: $10 walmart mouse *Logitech? maybe*, and a dell keyboard that came with my dad's XPS 700 series)

 

It happens more with mice than keyboards, i'm guessing there is more information being transferred therefore more chance to mess up? maybe?

 

and when i shop online i dont see anywhere that it advertises USB 3.0 compatibility, or cross compatibility.

 

 

 

 

aaaaaand this is basically what happened........ this is my brother, and i think he has a z87 msi mpower max, and it has no usb 2.0 he says..... and i have a crosshair V formula-Z, and i have a cagillion of both. BUT when i plug my or his stuff into the USB 3.0, they malfunction.

 

THANKS ALOT for taking the time to read this and possibly answering my question, "why do 2.0 peripherals malfunction when plugged into a USB 3.0 port?" and possibly giving me/ him a solution.

My Wireless dongle for the XBOX controller doesn't work for USB 3.0. I've had to switch back to USB 2.0 front header.

I have a mic plugged into usb 3 and it works. My mouse stutters and jitters no matter what though...

Which sucks when USB2.0 ports are phased out for USB3.0 only (still backwards compatible) although like we experienced,.. its really not.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I've seen slight differences. It mainly comes down to the drivers for 3.0. If the drivers that came with your mobo are spotty, uninstall and use Windows default 3.0 driver. I've seen it fix problems with flash drives not being detected. My Biostar 3.0 drivers wouldn't recognize my mouse on start-up sometimes.

I've never had a peripheral malfunction in my USB 3 ports.
