RTX 2060 megathread

Reviews

TL;DR/W : Performs about like a 1070 Ti (1-2% slower) at about the same price.

My thoughts: Seems like a pretty good launch, nothing too exciting (no real innovation in terms of plain performance) but DLSS will be pretty neat once it comes out. At $400 it seems like a pretty good value, even better at $350, especially once DLSS support starts getting implemented

I do not believe it will be around 1070ti. According to leaks it is between 1070 and 1070ti, closer to 1070. Yes, those are leaks, but if we take into account that 2070 is on pair with 1080, maybe slightly better, if 2060 were to be on 1070ti level it would make 2070 obsolete for the price increase and 10% difference.

EDIT: Ignore my dumb ass.

Oh wow, not even an hour ago. I though the NDA lasted for few hours more.  Yeah, the 1070 is obsolete if you ask me. 10% difference for not sure how many hundred $ more.

EDIT: Meant 2070.

Absolutely. You misunderstood me. We knew for a fact there will be at least 3 versions. The wording that you used was, as understood when you read it, maybe there will be. Hence my comment.

New 1070s start at $299, new 1070 Tis start at $419, according to PCPP atow, so at a more realistic price of $400 for the 2060 yeah it's a pretty good value actually

No I think the 2070 still has a place, if the 2060 6GB starts at $400 for a good cooler and goes up to about $435-440 than the 2070 definitely has a place (Clarification : The $499 ones, the $600 ones are really stupid)

Currently RTX 2070 in my country is $660, cheapest. The best ones go up to almost $900. If this gets out for even as much as $450, there is no debate which one to buy.

lemme see, there's 3GB, 4GB and 6GB, available with GDDR6 and GDDR5 (maybe crappy GDDR5X in the future, who knows). That's just the desktop though, Mobile versions will at least have 2 memory capacity configurations and I expect two memory types as well, and then add 6GB GDDR5 and GDDR6 Max-Q model.... 12 models so far. Already enough SKUs to form a football team with 1 spare, but that still didnt take different core count models which Nvidia is certainly going to make.
