Is my build okay?

Hey everyone

 

I just want to hear what you guys think about my build.

I am going to buy a new CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Cooler and Case, so I wanted to hear if these or good together, or I should pick something else.

I have a 650W Bronze PSU, and I also want to know, if that is okay for this, or if it is going to be too little.

 

The storage and GPU is what I have in my current PC, so keep that in mind.

 

I WILL NOT CHANGE THE CPU - LONG STORY, IRL STUFF MAKES IT THE OPTIMAL CHOICE

It's pointless to buy a 9900k and pair it with a 1060. Just buy a cheaper cpu, and get a 2070 or something. As for the psu, you could probably get away with it, but would I recommend it, ehhhh.

Yes, I read, it is still pointless. He should still get a lower end cpu and use the money to get a better gpu

I'd also grab a brand new SSD like the Evo 960 or 970, maybe a WD Black NVMe even? MX500 etc... just you're changing stuff your boot drive is important and you can use the current SSD for storage too!

 

I'd get the new one to ensure all works fine.

 

What PSU exactly? This is important as it's not about wattage, it never really is but about actual quality.

yeah its is pointless I agree you a extremely powerful CPU paired with a consumer level entry level graphics card consider a 1080 TI or a 2080

Upgrading the gpu a little later. I do other non-gaming work too

This is quite meaningless, only specific models matter as all brands will make good and terrible products.

I'd only keep it as far as you're keeping the GTX 1060, once you decide to upgrade it to a RTX card and what not I highly recommend you to get an actual good quality PSU, you can ask for help in the appropriated forum here.

 

You never shop for brand only models.

Yeah, I will upgrade to a better PSU, when I get a new GPU, thats what I had planned aswell.

 

Do you know if the Meshify C will work on the Z390 Aorus Pro board? Like will it have the right connection ports etc for USB and power and is it good for the CPU (like airflow and such)?

And is the build overall good? What do you think about it?

Gigabyte Aorus is the hands down the best Z390 line up, there is no doubt there.

 

And you mean about the I/O Shield? those are standard nowadays of course it will fit right in, same thing with the USB and Power switch connections all of this is standard already.

I mean the connection between the power switch and usb on the case and on the motherboard, like will the cables from the cases front work on the mobo?
