How many watts does my psu give?

externalspace

I want to know how many watts this provides because I want to upgrade my CPU. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm currently upgrading from a i3 8100 to a i5 9600k and I wondered if it would provide enough power for it.

385 watts at absolute limit, but it's probebly exploding then... why?

460W max according to the label.

I would agree, that thing needs a replacement. I'd look for a Corsair CX550M.

yeah, i thought it was 385, but that was on the 12 volt... it has been corrected already, but we both agree it needs te be replaced. i want to wait and look what budget and location we're talking about, so i can give a more specific recommendation

I can do anything around 150~200 really. I was in fact looking at a corsair psu before this though. I knew it was junk the minute I opened the case.

Wait, wait, why is everyone saying it's "trash", "exploding" and to replace it?

exploding is a big word, but those things are verry low end "thash" psu's. if you want to build a higher end system, you need a higher end psu

Because it’s a dell OEM and no one has ever heard of AcBel. Therefore it’s the worse thing ever made.

Since when is Acbel very low end trash? The ones from Dell are especially good. No need to replace it unless you're doing a big upgrade.

well, i've never heared of acbel. maybe @seon123 does?

But only by the looks of it, I would change it. most oems cheap out on the psu side to keep the costs low

AcBel Polstech is on par with other, higher end manufacturers.

You don't see or hear them often these days because they mostly do OEM stuff and IIRC mostly Apple PSU.

So they already have their hands full and don't need to bother with the "consumer shit".

So no, its not "very low end trash", its a decent OEM PSU.

Remember: Dell, HP and co usually use the decent stuff.

The crap you find in systems where the maker of the system doesn't have to care about the Warranty of the components.

Dell, HP, Lenovo and co do have to care about the Warranty of their components as they are responsible for it. So they can't afford crap PSU...

Sadly...

Though there were some somewhat decent ACBEL PSU in the Consumer Market...

But that was over 10 Years ago Cooler Master used them...

Agreed.

Though the last AcBel you could actually buy was kinda disapointing and not very good. But then again, we're talking about a Gigabyte PSU.

But that's also 6 years ago...

They ain't bad, just don't handle Consumer shit...

At least not to my knowledge...
