i have enough money for only one of them and it is going to take a while until I have enough for the other item

well in my country that isn't the case because here a gtx 1060 is around $200+ and a ryzen 7 1700 $175

What do you do with your PC? Is it a gaming rig, or do you do a lot of editing?

Eh you can still edit just fine on the 1300x, it just takes longer. Since you're not doing it consistently or semi pro, just get the video card.

Mining and memmory prices. Also the cost of an 8400 not so long ago is a better chip for a productivity in Adobe suite.
