Would like to buy this for a friend of mine but the backplate is red and its not the color scheme we're going for, any of you have any ideas if it is possible to remove it? Much thanks :D

It's just screwed on to the PCB from the back, just unscrew it

you can just remove it, id keep it and paint it but its not like its needed for the card

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

dont know, probably not but there could be. they are easy to remove if there are any
