Dell XPS 15 9570 Alternatives?

Okay, so i purchased an XPS 15 9570. I love it. Its is amazing. However; what other laptops would you guys recommend within that price range (max $1600/$1700). I'm looking for something with amazing battery life that is good to look at, aesthetically pleasing and can game well enough on occasion. If i cant find any alternatives or anything i'll probably stick with the XPS but i plan to experiment and find something amazing. Anything out there that offers everything the XPS has to offer and more? Also im very big on IO - i'd love something with all the IO id ever need generally speaking but thats kinda an added bonus thing for me. Give me your best shot guys! Maybe Linus can give his personal recommendation? haha id instantly buy whatever he recommends honestly. But lets see what we got

EDIT : Id also love a 2 in 1 that is amazing... that said tho, opinions on the XPS 15 2 in 1?

That said I love my XPS13, using it daily for a year now and it has been great as a daily laptop.

May I know your preferred max weight and min battery life? Do you really need 400 nits display?

dont really care about weight, aslong as the laptop isnt as bulky as my desktop haha and as for battery life, id prefer 8hrs+ (REALLY love the 12+ i get on the XPS even with the 4k display) so yeah its for school and a little light gaming inbetween classes (hoping to get a power pack for my backpack so i can just plug it in there when i need)

If you don't care about weight, why not bulkier laptops with better cooling? Options like Alienware m15 (90Wh battery, no HDD) and HP Omen 15 dc (70Wh battery, no 1060 GPU, no GSYNC) are also good

Im open to options - I am currently searching around. Iv got a week to return this XPS if i desire but if i cant be sold on something else within that time ill just stick to the XPS. I havent experienced any issues thus far - could u elaborate a bit? Also its for school so im not HUGE on weight but id still PREFER something lighter than heavier because it'll be with me alot. my XPS hasnt run hot on me yet - iv played Leauge, CS:GO and Black ops 4 (low AF settings just to test lol) on it and it hasnt run extremely hot so

Interesting - i will test this out a bit more and see what happens for me... I know about the QC issues but so far mine is pretty solid... Same views with the 2 in 1 version?

You have a powerful laptop. If you got lucky enough to get an xps with no issues switching out is a waste of time and money. All of the laptops this generation have issues. At best you will trade one problem for another.

 

What exactly do you hope to accomplish?

just looking for options and something with less issues i guess? as i said if nothing ill keep the XPS. That being said - quick question. Would u guys recommend any razor laptops? and if so - can u specify which? Price max is $1700 ( i dont mind 2016/2017 models if i can get them new and they are really good ) 

EDIT: Or the HP Spectre x360? (1050ti model)
