GTX 1080ti or Titan x/xp

Hey so I've been looking for a GPU to put into VR system I'm going to buy and build during black Friday/cyber Monday. While looking at GTX 1080ti's I found Titan x cards for around $600 while 1080ti go up to $800 which leads me to ask what will prices be on cyber Monday and price to performance Wich is or will be the better buy

that is a last gen maxwell titan x. not one of the pascal ones. I would rather get a 1080 ti, even if it's 200 bucks more. If you want to spend less, get a 1070 ti

That's the Maxwell card, not Pascal. Get the 1080 ti instead.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Oh ok but if the price dose get lower or the same for a Titan x(pascel)/xp is it worth it?

that one is too old for that. And even then the titan's aren't really meant for gaming. get a 1080 ti or 1070 ti. titans are overpriced versions of it

So if that's the case then if the 2080 and the 1080ti are similar in price go for the newer model for future optimization

The only Titan you should by is the Titan Xp. More cores than a 1080 Ti should make it faster.

Titan is always the answer, unless youre a pleb.

Only that it doesn't until you throw a waterblock on it, because of the shitty FE cooler it'll throttle and perform identically to the high end aftermarket 1080 Ti's in gaming like the ROG Strix.

That will be one intense pricetag if they make it.  The Titan V is kind of like it.

 

OP:  Like everyone else said, go with a 1080ti.  It is an awesome card.

Well for rasterization only the TITAN V still outperforms a single RTX 2080 Ti

Better cards do better. Real simple. Some people just aren’t about that life though.
