I don't really pay too much attention to military ACs but the B-2 Spirit, B-29 Super Fortress, and what you just said lol, also the new F35s are pretty cool. Oh and the C-17.

Maybe Boeing or whomstever can run a freighter conversion program? There are a few DC-9 and MD-80 freighters out there.

If a 51 year old DC-9 can haul cargo, so can a 25 year old MD-90.

neat, in theory a 757 could fly to Japan with just a stop in Anchorage for fuel from Huntsville lol

i4f2dm.png

that doesn't really account for winds aloft or any ETOPS restrictions but assume for a private jet configured 757 with an extra fuel tank it probably would be fine lol

I would imagine winds, and ETOPS are why we don't see 757s flying from Honolulu to Narita lol
Although it might be possible, I mean Delta flies their 757s from Seattle to Honolulu lol

I think that's what I'd imagine my airline focusing on, medium sized cities that don't have direct flights to larger cities across the US with A220s but then also try and snatch up some market share in bigger destinations with A320/A321 and either A330neos or A350s.

basically lol

Because cities like Huntsville, which specifically the two biggest cities Huntsville has flights with jets to are Denver and Atlanta and maybe Detroit, Charlotte, Houston, Chicago but aside from Denver for some flights and Atlanta those are on smaller regional jets. Denver has some flights to Huntsville served by those regional planes but Frontier flies A319s to there, and Delta flies the 717 to there from Atlanta.

I'd put a hub at BWI since you get to offer flights to a population center while using an undeserved airport (well, at least on the international side of things).

yeah IAD or BWI or DCA which ever was cheaper to land at

IAD gets plenty of flights, same as DCA. I'd imagine BWI is cheaper than either, defiantly DCA because of its prime location.

While BWI gets the most flights in the region, they're like all WN, and again, there are low amounts of international flights.

and another idea that could be floated around for that airline is the bigger airports that the airline serves, it would have international flights with either A330s and A350s as I mentioned lol

the A330 I think would be more optimal for training purposes but I can't imagine the A350 being that much harder for an A320 pilot to get used to

this article seems to explain that the differences aren't too difficult to understand although the A380 and A350 have more commonality apparently

Minneapolis is a pretty big hub for Delta but that's because of their purchase of Northwest at the end of the 2000s.

but it'd be cool to have more cities in the US better connected with direct flights to larger cities and interconnect some of those smaller cities with each other with at least once a week flights but depending on demand it could be a couple times a week.
