Ways to help Cluster Headache

piemadd

I have had a cluster headache for over 2 days now. If you don't know, a cluster headache is a continuous sharp pain around an eye socket, which in my opinion, make them better than the on and off pain of migranes. I'm drinking tea, but does anybody know another way to deal with this?

Greatly appreciated, as it feels like I've been giving birth from my eye for 2 days now.

Usually some eye rest and laying in bed not stressed helps mine. But if it's been going on for this long you need to get it checked out. Tea is good but only for the soul.

You could always get a second opinion if your skeptical about your first doctors diagnosis as well.

Orgasms.

Increases blood flow to the brain and releases endorphins which can ease tension and reduce the severity of headaches.

Tried that, like actually

My doctor has me taking 600mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours(twice the daily maximum dosage, yeet) and some eye drops. I have the symptoms of a serious case of strep throat or a viral infection, but I don't have one. My doctor told me that.

You need to get on your doctor to perform additional tests and figure out the cause. If he can’t, have him refer you to a specialist. Or get a second opinion from a walk-in clinic.

That'll do some long-term damage.

There are better (non-opiod) painkillers in much smaller doses, I'm somewhat surprised your doc didn't go that route.

And like Dalek above said, get a second opinion...

Stop looking at artificial light sources, ie: TV, smart devices etc. If that doesn't help, you might need to see someone.

Taking this point and going a bit further with it, if the OP wears glasses, they should look at getting 90% blue light filter lenses. Pretty much all optician/eyewear shops can add this into regular prescription lenses. I'd avoid the 100% blue filter lenses though, as it gives a weird yellow/amber tinge to everything.

There’s a good indications that hallucinogens have a capacity to help alliviate this. But it’s a pretty dodgy risk considering the law.

Iv also heard that lots of water works at the onset. But that was just a post online so probably not too reliable. Have you tried that method?

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?
