Looking at a full Windows 8 experience, using visual studio as the most intensive program.

Preference with a USB port and lower costs (AUD)

Just any recommendation, I'm open to anything. 

the Asus T100 has the new baytrail cpu  (fanless) which is pretty fast

 

all the i5 based tablets are 800$ and above

 

the T100 is the best you can do
