I just keep on missing out on the bubble. At 5K, I was sure it was gonna go down. Then, it hit 7K. I was sure that was it. Now its at 13K! Everytime, I see BitCoin hit a new high I think the market is going to crash and screw everyone over. Then, it goes even higher, leaving me with a nice feeling of total regret. Again, I am putting my money in on it crashing or stabilizing. It can't go higher than this.

It would be the perfect crime, it's a legal grey area, so no investigation, no attempts to freeze the money. The only flaw compared to usual financial scams would be that governments won't protect the person who lost money by paying them back, like they did in a way in 2008 for instance. So the money stolen isn't coming by magically to any pockets.

I just keep on missing out on the bubble. At 5K, I was sure it was gonna go down. Then, it hit 7K. I was sure that was it. Now its at 13K! Everytime, I see BitCoin hit a new high I think the market is going to crash and screw everyone over. Then, it goes even higher, leaving me with a nice feeling of total regret. Again, I am putting my money in on it crashing or stabilizing. It can't go higher than this.

As you said, speculation is off the roof on that one, and it's not a good sign. If it wasn't going to fail, it surely will once the greediest people will want their share of that pie as well

Bitcoin is now a household name. My 84 year old grandfather knows what bitcoin is. People who have no business investing in bitcoin are investing in bitcoin.

 

People saying it's a bubble are ignorant. I wouldn't call bitcoin mainstream, but it's extremely popular amongst non tech enthusiasts

I just keep on missing out on the bubble. At 5K, I was sure it was gonna go down. Then, it hit 7K. I was sure that was it. Now its at 13K! Everytime, I see BitCoin hit a new high I think the market is going to crash and screw everyone over. Then, it goes even higher, leaving me with a nice feeling of total regret. the definition of a bubble in the investment world is just an opportunity to make money. its happened in the non crypto market, and it will more than likely happen in the crypto market.

 

Those that have invested, and can afford to hold through a 'bubble' burst will come out very much ahead down the road, those that invest in the bubble again will be rewarded. look at the stock markets back in 2008 vs now. those that stuck it out made a ton of money. There is a risk in every investment, be it cryptocurrency, or stock market investments for 'real life' type trading. 

 

Cryptocurrency has proven to be around to stay. If you do not believe it, then i guess thats your own issue, but block chain technology has been around for a long time.

An economic bubble or asset bubble ... is trade in an asset at a price or price range that strongly exceeds the asset's intrinsic value.

 

Just like the .com boom of the early 2000's, just because the market will experience a correction doesn't mean it will go away (see google).

 

Also, anyone also find it a little funny that this entire thing seems to be mirroring the penny stocks from the 'golden age of spam'? Now instead of being spammed about BTC in you email, it's coming down 90% of online news outlets.
