I'm not too sure of what the market is like in China, but if it's a big, reputable brand there, it should work nicely.

 

Old PSUs,, they might be a bit less energy efficient or whatever, but pretty much you can safely stick with a good PSU for 10 years.

So ripples, etc.. some ppl are concerned about are of no issues to modern premium motherboards...

this is the exact model I have been using 4 years. But I can't find any info. Those are Japanese words, but I don't assume it's from Japan.

what tier is this"? Does 3,3v 21a seems to high? What 3.3&5v 120w? It's less than combined 3.3 +5v 154w !

 

can someone tell me how old psu are more unstable, I,e, ripples and other stuff... are they bad for modern computer parts-

but modern motherboard advertise to have excellent circuit protections, I.e, 12 power phases, 5 voltage controllers, etc... (tech terms that I have no idea) 

How much protection do they offer, like premium x370 mobo?

if a psu failure cause mobo, cpu, hdd, ram, etc... to fry? Are they protected by warranties?

Possibly protected by warranties depending on individual companies policies, also please buy a real psu for a build, they cost like 40 bucks and you really dont want to damage an expensive ryzen board and cpu, old psus are unstable because they were made with crappy parts from some company that no one has ever heard of

I have no idea what the specs are for the psu, and I can't seem to get any information from the other websites, so I would just get a new power supply. That way, you know where it came from, you know the exact specs, and you can be sure that it is of good quality. Try looking at power supplies from EVGA, Corsair, and Seasonic.

It's so non-mainstream that I doubt there are any reviews for it.

that being the case, I'd assume it's a frag grenade with a very long cook time, so I'd replace it.

Nope.

good PSUs tend to not kill other components

bad PSUs also have bad warranties, so that's a double no.

hk 600 12l is what I googled. It's the same psu I'm using.

The label has Chinese (small) and Japanese (large).  

 

This PSU is so full of fake it's not even funny.

 

Here's why:

 

1.  No +12V rail rating.  Simply stating the OCP for each of multiple +12V rails is NOT an indication of +12V capability.

 

2.  Fake UL logo.  Internal PSU's don't have UL logos like shown.  They have UR logos and come with a listing number.

 

3.  No CCC for China.  If it's for Taiwan, it needs BSMI.  Can't be for Japan because minimum mains voltage input is 110V and Japan uses 100V.

 

Also, note how the PSU has a "risk of electric chock."

 

This PSU has more warning signs than an old mine field.

That's Japanese, with both kana and kanji on it. Taiwanese uses Chinese script.

My chinese isn't that good, even though it's my mother tounge. In case anyone wants to know BTW, I know all this cause I am Taiwanese

 

Through context, that sentence means "Red Ghost Power." Probably some generic brand, OP I would say Tier 666 because it has spelling errors and no certification. Get rid of it.

same, my chinese is pretty rubbish too, enough to get a borderline pass and it's probably getting worse now that i don't have to study it anymore. turns out 赤 means red so probably means red ghost power supply like what you said.

assembled on the spot, ready in 1 hour deal. 4 years ago. the mothrrboard died after i unplug the case to remove dust 3m ago. i paid so mich for repair, and that prompts me to learn more pc tech. its about time to get ryzen.
