Buying a new pay for my new gaming rig

Hey guys,

I'm new here, hope one of you could help.

Recently built a new gaming rig, most of the hardware is brand new, but some components are older, such as the PSU.

Lately I have been experiencing some power malfunctions with the fans, like when the pc is under load, 1 or 2 of the case fan suddenly turn off...

This led me to have toasty temps of around 50c inside the case and CPU temp in the high 90's under Load.

 

Here are the specs-

 

Mobo- Gigabyte z270x aorus gaming 7

 

Cpu- Intel i7-7700 not K (stock cooler, planning on upgrading to a aio water cooler)

 

Gpu- Gtx 1070 founders edition

 

Storage-1tb hdd 7200 rpm

Corsair mp500 480gb nvme m.2

 

Memory- 1 stick of ddr4 16gb kingston 

 

Case- Corsair spec alpha with 4 case fans

 

Psu- huntkey hk-700 650w 

 

Not planning  (nor can) on OCing anytime, pc is also connected to a RGB 5050 led strip.

 

Lives in Israel(can find almost every kind of top-tier hardware here), budget of 300$.

G2/G3 550 or higher, SeaSonic X or PRIME 650 or higher, SeaSonic Focus Plus Gold 550 or higher, Corsair RMx or RMi 550W or higher, BitFenix Whisper M 550 or higher, etc

Eek, Huntkey. Never heard of them, but from reviews (several blown up), they look pretty dodgy. I suggest a corsair, evga, seasonic, thermaltake, antec, or coolermaster psu. 650W is also a bit more than you need, 550W would be fine.

Depend, not all thermaltake and antec and corsair and evga are good

One, don't put an AIO on a locked i7. Get a Cryorig M9i instead.

 

Two, your PSU is bad, replace it. Check the PSU tier list in my signature and get something at least tier 3.

Well, when I say EVGA and Antec, I don't mean every single one is good. However, they have better products on average than some dodgy chinese company and I assume that someone with an i7 7700 and a GTX 1070 isn't going to buy the cheapest PSU they can find. I trust in Jankrap's ability to at least read reviews for PSUs before he buys them.
