Lol if you can find a 1060 6GB for $230 I'll buy it

They are at least like $280-300 right now and even normally are at least $250.

After launch RX480 4GBs could be had for $140! Now THAT's a deal

hi im upgrading my I5 4460, already bought a asus strix Z270F motherboard. will be using my existing graphics card (galax gtx 1060 6gb exoc). i will be gaming mainly, 0 content creation. should i get the 7600K or the 7700K? its about $140 difference here in south africa. thanks

why would you pair a 7700k with a 1060? i would have gone with either a ryzen 1600 +1070/1080 over that any day.  i know you said you got a 1151 mobo, but why would you spend more on your cpu than gpu when games are mostly gpu oriented? minus a few titles

It is, AMD crippled AVX, which lowers power consumption and heat output.

actually in a lot of games using DX12 and Vulkan they are either similar or the 580 pushes up. AMD is much better with long term optimization improvements so the 580 will likely be faster in the next few years. Also Freesync and the 8GB of VRAM give the 580 an overall better value when they are at normal prices

nvidia also offers things like shadowplay and all of that jazz which is really neat, also whenever a new AMD line launches people say "well newer drivers are going to increase performance" and a few months later they complain about shitty AMD drivers. This was the case at the r9 290x launch and the rx 480 launch.

main reason im so against AMD, every problem is blamed on faulty drivers and never quiet properly fixed
