best "gaming" tablet for about $200

Basically I am in the market for a tablet to play games such as borderlands 2, magicka, luftrausers, this war of mine, an assortment of free to play games, and the older GTA games for $200 USD or less. (please try to find possibly cheaper alternatives to the Nvidia Shield tablet)

you can look at Pentium Chinese tablet but the shield tablet will be your best bet, you can use Nvidia shadowplay to play your PC games.

what youre looking for doesn't really exist unless you're going to stream your pc games

Your phone or any tablet, a controller, Teamviewer, and something to hold the phone to the controller. Set Teamviewer to use the fast setting and happy gaming. Latency shouldn't be an issue unless you're very far away from the access point.

While I don't know about the specific games listed, the Shield K1 is still a higher performance gaming tablet that is actively being supported. Mine recently got updated to Android 7. If it is within budget, you could do worse. My only minor gripe is not unique to this, but common to Android in general, in that I can't figure out how to store apps (games) on the SD card when used normally. I think mine is too old/slow to use unconditionally as adopted storage, but that is worth looking at.

Basically what has already been said, Shield K1 is the best tablet you can buy bar none.

 

They're getting quite hard to find now though (at least here in the UK) and prices are going up for new units, I'm wondering if Nvidia have halted production on them?

If you're looking at an Android tablet for gaming, the NVIDIA Shield K1 is still the best contender here. There's a reason why it's almost always recommended.

 

I mean, you could try finding a random Chinese brand on eBay or AliExpress. But nothing you can find at Newegg or the local Best Buy will get you a better value at the moment.

I really wish that nvidia would make a shield p2 (pascal) so we could get the much higher efficiency/power ratio that it offers.
