Best replacement for i5 6500 cooler

I have an i5 6500 and it's only 65w I'm looking for a good cpu cooler under 30$ that will give me the best performance when gaming. I'm not a fan of tower coolers so no hyper 212 recommendations.

Have you looked at some of Noctua's slim/HTPC coolers?

Yes but there like 40$  I can get a replacement intel cooler for 7$ but I want something a little better performance and quiter

in Honesty you might as well stick with the stock cooler, I ran my Redstone build on stock cooler for months while heavily gaming and Temps never got bad, as yours is not a K you will be even safe, so for performance at that price not really worth it. 

 

BUT:

if you looking to change for Aesthetics and can bump the budget there is a lot so you can just go for one you think looks the best with your build. The HTPC coolers are a good option

Stock or Cryorig C7 or M9i (tower but cheap and small).

I'm rocking one on an i7-6700T, and it's damn near silent. Does a great job of keeping load temps down, too. Should be more than enough for a 6500

I love the clips for Intel coolers. Much easier to install than screws... Also, I hope you got that T-series for a discount...

If you want better performance the NH will do it and you can even passively cool your CPU if your case has fans.

You have a OC'd 4770K with no GPU....

3600MHZ RAM helps me catch up with the i7 anyway...got the i5 for cheap and the H100i was from my FX build.

My dad and I built this rig (I'm 16, was like 12-13 then) so I didn't pick the parts. Lol. Could've gotten an i3 and been fine for 90% of the stuff I do.

Why do you need more performance? What are your temps?

I don't even have a cpu cooler. It is kinda embedded in the pc case

Your system wouldn't stay on for long if you didn't have a cpu cooler. 

What do you mean? Do you just not know what cooler you have?

Can recommend the Cryorig H7. Using it on my i5 7600K, rock solid. Cheap and great performer for the price.

Sorry it was a del optiplex and I had to strip the whole pc down to get the shroud off the cpu cooler
