What games did you play the most this year?

I'm not asking what your favorite games to come out this year are, but what games you played the most of. Did you play mostly new games or do you play mostly older games from previous years?

 

I know I played a lot of Planetside 2 this year. It has been my go-to game since early last year. It really just scratches an itch, but I am feeling sort of burned out with it and I plan to play it far less next year and I would like to play more Rocket League which is probably my second most played game this year.

 

After that I spent a good amount of time playing Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Animal Crossing New Leaf on my 2DS I got in 2015. Though I've seen more of a shift to gaming on my Galaxy S7 with an Emulator for Pokemon Emerald.

 

Next is Minecraft. Firmly cemented in my library.

 

I've also played numerous titles I got on the Steam Sales on the cheap such as Stardew Valley which I really enjoyed as well as Shovel Knight, Insurgency, CSGO and Bit Blaster XL

 

Lastly it's worth mentioning over the past Week I was getting back into Runescape a little bit. IDK if I'll stick with it like I did from 2006-2011 though.

For me, it's been Overwatch, GTA5, COD:WAW custom zombies, and now I've been playing Astroneer day and night so I'm sure next year will be full of that.

GTA V - Open world, wide variety of possible gameplay options, lots of new dlcs this year. Other than that I replayed some older games that I enjoyed, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Mafia 2.  I also started playing the Crew but it I was rather dissapointed by the driving physics and progression which prompted me to stop playing.

AoE2 is by Ensemble and Microsoft and RuneScape is by the UK-based Jagex. Though Square and Nintendo make some of the best games.

The lack of BF1 really surprised me. Haven't played it, but I though that was one of the biggest games to come out this year. 

 

I think for me Stardew Valley came out this year. maybe another indie game or two and that's about it.

 

I did see a few overwatch players as I expected. It seems like that sort of MOBA "LoL" style competitive game.

Definitely Overwatch. After that comes, of course, Team Fortress 2, which was replaced shortly after Overwatch's launch. I recently started logging a bunch of hours into Fallout: New Vegas for some reason. An oldie but a goodie.

Yup. I ended up marrying Penny, but I stopped playing it after the first year was completed. After the 3rd year I think something was supposed to happen, but I forget what.
