My Biggest complaint on AMD

TubsAlwaysWins

This is my biggest complaint on AMD. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WERE THEY THINKING WHEN THEY DECIDED TO NOT MAKE A CPU HOLD DOWN? JESUS CHRIST AMD. Its because they don't have a socket hold down that i broke a pin off of my CPU. So 10/10 there amd. Holy fuck. Thanks for breaking my system

Lol sorry I had to vent because i probably just broke my system

No, you broke a pin because you're an idiot. of a stupid set of actions you decided to make.

No. Because there is no hold down my cooler will rip my CPU out of the socket, causing pins to get bent

Would love to see how you react to a Socket 478 system. Those Pentium 4s love to glue themselves to the heatsink.

Pushing 4.5GHZ at 1.532v is a bad idea anyway...and not to consider the mediocre 970 Gaming board as well.

Try using Socket A...some people broke their dies from it.

I'd taken apart a AM2 CPU that had the thermal paste stuck and it was still fine.

iv never broken a pin. some people say AMDs sockets are easier. Iv never had a problem with them, they fall nicely into place

Well if AMD used LGA sockets, it would be much harder to get thermal paste out....

PGA is much better than LGA, you can usually fix what you break and it is cheaper.

Intel's entire mounting system and socketing is a joke, push pins are not a valid option for mounting a heatsink, you cannot unbend socket pins and you cannot remove thermal paste from the socket, their PGA CPUs were so easy to bend pins on (unlike AMD, you have to be an idiot very trying to bend them)

AMD doesn't have the best CPUs, but they have the best socket and mounting hardware, intel should learn from them.
