Can you post a screenshot of what you mean, and go to http://www.whatsmybrowser.org/ to give details on the effective resolution of your screen so that I can look into this further, as I have not experienced this issue on my mobile device.

Dats more pixels than my primary monitor :D

Maybe the browser thinks you're on a bigger tablet therefore trying to load the whole UI in? :P

Can you go to that website though, because the resolution on the spec sheet is not the same as the logical resolution presented to the site, because of high DPI scaling.

Looks like that on my Nexus 7. That's with "request desktop site" enabled in Chrome.

Same resolution as well.

That looks like it might be just over the threshold where it is supposed to appear - if you also go to http://www.whatsmybrowser.org/, is the horizontal part of the browser size >= 680?

I cleared the server cache, because I noticed a couple of other issues on my end that looked like they are cache related, and there have been no server changes recently.

Just now, Arty said:

@colonel_mortis would it be possible to add a "force" Auto/Desktop/mobile at the bottom of the site?

Not at the moment, but it is something that we will look into in the future. All that it is likely do is make the site impractical to use though.
