Retrogaming

RuLeZ

Hi guys, are somebody here into retro gaming? I just started with it this week with RetroPie on the Pi 3, its really amazing to play or replay some older games, specially the ones in the 16 bit generation.

Rightnow I am replaying Chrono Trigger of the SNES.

Are you playing something too? Or recommend to play? From the 2nd to the 5th generation of consoles?

I often play GameBoy and GameBoy Color games still. Man, I love those games. Especially Super Mario Land 2. That games is just great. Otherwise I don't have any consoles older than 6th gen (I have a GameCube and PS2). Never really came across an affordable system I wanted. I also don't really emulate stuff older than GBA.

A year ago I thought the batteries on my games would NEVER run out, sadly the battery on my Pokémon Gold version ran out and I lost a bit of progress (I was probably 2 gyms in though, not a whole lot since I beat Crystal and didn't really bother with Gold)

Well I have about 5 games where the battery is dead so I'll have some fun disassembling all of them. :D

I'm into retro gaming for sure.

My kid and I both play games on the emulator PC I built in an NES case last month.  He's playing Mother 3 (GBA) and I'm intermittently playing Ocarina of Time. I'm not sure why I'm playing it on the NES though, because I have the cart for my N64, too.  I tend to bounce around a bit though, because I've got about 10,000 games in it.

Some PS2 emulator for that high res, non jagged goodness. Same for GameCube.

I expected this to be about playing on real hardware instead of masturbation. But yeah, favourite gaming system is the NEO GEO and I own about 150 carts.

I don't really play many games for gameplay anymore honestly. I play most games just for the graphics.
