G502 Braided Cable Problems

Hey guys, I recently bought the G502 Proteus Core (not spectrum) and I am running into issues with the cable. I cannot straighten it and the worst place is just before entering the mouse. I am using it on a laptop, so the cable is behind it. Please give me advice on how to straighten it.

no i think he means the braded-ness has opened up and there is more rubber than braid

Pretty much. And at the places where it was bent have braid deformation.

id try hanging it and leaving the mouse to dangle, it looks like it was pinched though which will probably be a bitch to fix.

Try what I said if it doesn't fix it return/rma it.

Mine did that too  no fix from what I can can tell, but that's just me.

though going though logitech will probably be better then if you got this at something like best buy who will turn their noses up at such a "minor" issue most likely since the people they staff their dont know jack shit about the products.

I had a best buy employee argue with me I caused damage to my logitech headphones cause the ear cups laid flat (like every high end headphone ever) and she was convinced I broke it and it shouldnt of been doing that.

Yeah, it was. Damn it. Alright, I hung it on a wall mounted guitar stand and put all the weights in. Will that damage it?

G502 has some very hard braded cable. Its not flexible and straightning i guess would demand a few days.

Yep, but it's also deformed in a few places. RMA is the way obviously

If you fiddle with the cable it does work i have the same issue and if you pull and push the cable right where the usb port is i got mine to work

All I can say, don't use a Mouse with a braided cable. Best to use a Standard USB Mouse.

Braided cables are nothing like paracord which are much better. But standard braid should never be used on mice, its a downgrade over rubber.

If it's brand new, have it exchanged for a new one.
